Thinking I may escape this "5 things I don't know about you" topic..... I was not to surprised when Mr Whis! tagged me. So here goes...
1. In high school I used to have long hair....enough said
2. Top place I would like to visit one day is Jamaica....I've nearly been on a mission trip their a few times with different churches...but things have seem to conflict each time.
3.Two years ago I went on a mission trip to Atlanta and stayed in a homeless shelter for 4 days. It was one of the most eye-opening experiences of my life. What I learned from it? 1. Poverty is not just in distant countries....it is everywhere around us. 2. When you make all your food..and see these people so grateful for food and a bed...it makes you think....how can I be complaining about not getting the latest gadget. 3. Living on the streets is extremely dangerous. We were nearly killed a few times on the trip.
4. My favorite movie is Hoosiers. WHY? I love basketball...I played bball in a small town before...and Gene Hackman is a great actor...at least in that movie.
5.And last but not least.......I've owned two Jeep Cherokees in my life and hope to own another one day because I love Jeeps!
Now its time to tag a few folks.
JR and Trish! The ball is in your court!

Overflow
If you ever receive an error message of "Overflow" from an agent you may want to try the following.
Run Debug and find out the line/variable(s) creating the overflow. Chances are you have declared a variable as a variant or integer and are trying to set a number to it that is beyond its limits. Below is a list of value ranges for the different data types. I have pulled this from Designer 7 Help.
Byte
0 to 255 <---values it can hold
Initial value: 0
1 byte
Boolean
0 (False) or -1 (True)

Lotusscript and DB open

So this morning when I came into work I noticed a Lotusscript agent I had wrote was no longer working. When it ran I received the error message above. The ironic thing is how this agent had worked fine for weeks now. After a little research I ran into this helpful tip through Notes/Domino help forum.
When trying to open a DB with Lotusscript
Dim db As New Notesdatabase ("ServerName", "Database.nsf") does not always open the database according to Mika Heinonen.
To prevent this problem in the future use:
Dim db As New NotesDatabase ("", "")
db.Open "ServerName", "Database.nsf"

Referees!
Last night my Winthrop Eagles faced off against the small Division 1 Mount Saint Mary's school of Maryland. Though the Eagles were up by double digits nearly the entire game, the Ref's about cost us the game. For a long stretch of the game I think Mount Saint Mary's could have tackled one of our guys and they still wouldn't have called a foul. The Ref's also called a technical on Coach Marshall which got the crowd even more stirred up. So I will say this, the bad calls made the game much more interesting and exciting then it would have been.
One thing I will say in Mount's favor is one of their players did end up tackling one of the Ref's.(by accident) ...
Torrell Martin continues to be the leader in this team with his clutch shooting. This win puts the Eagles at 8-3 and undefeated at home. Go Eagles!

Cool Trick with Word
Its been a while since my last post, but things have been busy around the office. Over the weekend I was helping a friend with his resume and stumbled into this neat tool in Microsoft Word. (it also works in Excel)
Ever have two documents that you want to compare side by side and get tired of clicking back and forth between the documents? If you said yes...this feature may come in handy! From the toolbar in Word Select Window then "compare side by side"

Behold both documents are side by side for your use. I know this would have saved me a lot of time in college.

So Close
Last night my alma mater, Winthrop faced off with my other love UNC in a heated battle. Me and several friends met at Beef O Brady's, ordered a bunch of wings and fries and cheered through this tight matchup. At one point in the game Winthrop was up by 13 points, a feet in itself. During the many ups and downs of the game my friends and I started cheers that roared out into the streets of Rock Hill rooting for our EAGLES.
Even though we lost by 7 in the end, we should be commended for our valiant efforts. It is not like UNC is poorly rated, they are the #2 team in the nation. For that I say GO EAGLES! This year we will see our First Tournament Victory and the respect we deserve.
